Overview
Polaris Wireless is seeking a strategic, results-oriented, collaborative, and tech-savvy Product Manager to work closely with customers and partners to develop product roadmap for our location platform. This person will partner closely with engineering, marketing and business development to develop, maintain, and execute the consumer services strategy and product roadmap for Polaris Wireless.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in defining and executing the 3D location services product strategy for Polaris Wireless
- Translate user needs and business objectives into intuitive and compelling products
- Build strong relationships with marketing and engineering teams to assess the viability of new business use cases and ideas
- Direct and influence a cross-functional team comprised of design, business, engineering, marketing, and research leaders to refine existing products
- Regularly use consumer feedback, site metrics, market research, and competitive analyses to create compelling arguments for what we should do and why
- Gather content, business, and technical requirements while managing scope, timelines, and execution for large projects and ongoing site maintenance
- Closely follow emerging technologies and industry trends
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- 2-5 years managing mobile consumer products/services, preferably with engagement with telecoms providers
- Experienced in mobile location technology.
- Successful record defining and launching mobile consumer products/services
- Highly technical with an ability to interface with both tech and design, specifically around mobile consumer products, both Android and iOS platforms
- Experience working closely and collaboratively with engineering, and design teams
- Strong sense of product management best practices
- Excellent quantitative skills
- Comfortable with both traditional and agile development methodologies
- Strong organizational skills, self-motivated, and highly responsible
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for mobile consumer services
- Must be a proven relationship builder with strong verbal and written abilities who can diplomatically and effectively work across departments as well as with external partners
